In My Mailbox - So Excited!

Blogger Book Trade: Thank you to Sherry, from Flipping Pages for All Ages for sending me this book. It's one I've been hearing of for quite a while but had never actually seen and I'm excited about it. It sounds like it might be a quieter sort of dystopian, which is totally my sort of read.

Bought: I absolutely loved the first in this series and I recently grabbed the third off of Bookswap, so I figured I should snatch up the second before it arrives in the mail. I'M SO TERRIBLY EXCITED YOU GUYS HAVE NO IDEA OMG OMG OMG LOVE LOVE LOVE. !!

Bought: Aaand, I don't normally talk about media other than books on IMM, but I did buy a copy of this week's Entertainment Weekly with Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss on the cover. You have no idea how excited I am about this movie. More excited than you, I am nearly positive. Also, this is one of the few magazines I really really love, so I'm thinking I should just by a subscription to it one of these days, right?

  1. I LOVE the Summer Series! :) I just wish the third one would be out in the UK already :( We have to wait until NEXT YEAR :O Oh well, happy reading! :)

  2. "Quieter sort of dystopian" - perfect way to describe Restoring Harmony.

Aww! I was going to say you could probably possibly get the third one off Book Depository, but then I realized it would have the US instead of UK cover and I don't know about you but that would seriously bug me.

Oh, yay! Glad to hear you've read it and that it IS, in fact, a quieter dystopian. :)

  4. I really need to read the Summer Trilogy.
    Great week.

  5. I want that issue of Entertainment weekly! I have yet to see it at the store (because I haven't been out lately) but I keep seeing the cover everywhere online. I'm super psyched for the movie too! And I really want to read Restoring Harmony, I don't know what's taking me so long. I hope you have a wonderful week! ;)

Oh for some reason I think you would probably really like the Summer trilogy, even though I've only read the first so far.

    Loren Chase
Ha, I actually went out LOOKING for the issue on Friday (when I knew it would hit newsstands). Found it at BN, but not Wal-Mart. :)

  7. I loved the first and second book in Han's Summer series and enjoyed the third (with some reservations). I'm very curious to see what you think of them.

Also, I concur that you should just go ahead and get a subscription to EW. It's the only magazine I subscribe to and is totally worth it. The article with Jennifer Lawrence was pretty good. At the very least, it conveyed how much she loves the books and how invested she is in making sure that she does justice to the character of Katniss.

  8. Clementine Bojangles
    RESERVATIONS? #worry

Also, yeah, when I next have some money to spend I should really spend it on EW instead of something else.
