In My Mailbox: Verse.

BOOKS.
Bought: This book has always sounded really interesting to me, but it didn't hit my MUST READ list until I found out it's written in verse. I LOVE books written in verse and am especially excited to read this one because I haven't read anything by Lisa Schroeder before.

And today! A question! What is your favorite novel written in verse?

  1. I'm looking forward to this one, I'll be interested to know what you think. What My Mother Doesn't Know by Sonya Sones is my favourite verse book.

  2. Chasing Brooklyn, also by Lisa Schroeder. I LOVE verse books, and I LOVE Lisa. Her other two novels, I Heart You, You Haunt Me and Far From You are also written in verse.

I think I liked ONE OF THOSE HORRIBLE BOOKS WHERE THE MOTHER DIES more. But of course my favorite Sonya Sones book is Stop Pretending.

AWESOME. I knew they were all verse-novels, but I'm not big on ghosties. I haven't heard much of Chasing Brooklyn though.

Yep, I think she's probably one of the first authors most of us think of when we hear "in verse."

YAY, so glad to hear it - makes me even more excited to read the book! I must admit I haven't read anything by Ellen Hopkins... the subject matters sound a bit extreme for me.
